MoBirders,

The "white-winged" gull seen yesterday by several St. Louis birders, and
earlier in the week by Charlene Malone appears to be an interesting Iceland
Gull. To see pictures of the gull go to:

The interesting thing about this bird was first that it was an adult Iceland
gull, and secondly, that there was no hint of color in the wing tips,
suggesting (but not confirming) that the bird may be other than kumlieni.
Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to confirm or deny the subspecies
for this bird.
