Randy,
I've stayed quiet on this, but can't any longer.

The reasons your request about where to find lambs was considered inappropriate
(and that is the correct term, not "slammed") are:
1. Mobirds is a discussion list about birds. Sheep are not birds.

2. There are many ways to find sheep/lambs other than on a bird list serve.
Coming to mind are:
a. do a computer search using "sheep" and "Missouri" (you'll find the state
association and the most appropriate source for directions to sheep near you)
b. let your fingers do the walking in your yellow pages
c. get out of the city limits and look for white fuzzy critters in pastures
d. contact the local weaver's guild whose members know where the local wool
sources are.

3. The kind souls who answered your query compounded the problem by responding
on the listserve, rather than to you personally.
