Male and female Great Horned Owls often duet. One calls. Then the other
responds. And back and forth. They should be nesting at this time of year.
If your guy is calling all by himself, and no one is responding, perhaps he
is the odd man out. Or maybe his lady love is already hunkered down over the
eggs, and he's got business on his mind other than courtship of her.
