===========================================
Though angered, still Athena said to him,
"What god, O son of Everes, led you to take
this harsh road so that never again will you
take back your eyes?" She spoke and night took away
the eyes of the boy. He stood speechless, for pain
stiffened his knees and distress checked his voice.
===========================================

Interesting. Is night the cause of the blindness here
or just the resulting condition?

Is it not the sight of Athena that is blinding?
Is that from her nakedness or from a radient light
she would have given off?

I am mindful of the Hebrew apprehensions about
going into the Divine Presence. The special effects on Moses.

Cheers,
Peter
