I don't find TWL as soapy at all. Period.
I find the idea of weaving in a Verdenal interpretation soapy.
I don't think the poetry justifies such a personal take.
I don't mean that as a negative comment at Steve. It's just
my own opinion. Honest and straight up.

If you consider TWL-as-threnody soapy, then you must consider Tennyson's
_In Memoriam_ to be super high grade cleans-all detergent.

We are looking at the difference between soap oprah and
high drama. Personally I find the Verdenl dimension very
soappy.
