What Roger may not have said specificly enough is that the ASM web site
contains a Review List, which names all of the birds that should be
documented (except birds not on the Missouri check-list and "out-of-season
occurrences, first nesting records, etc.," which should also be written up).
After going to the web site, scroll down to  Missouri Bird Records
Committee - Review List and click that.

Varied Thrush is on the list of birds needing documentation.
