The St. Louis Audubon Society invites everyone to our monthly general
meeting Tuesday, January 21 at 7:30 pm with featured speaker behavioral
ecologist and ornithologist Dr. Patricia Parker from the University of Mo
- St. Louis.  Dr. Parker is also the Desmond Lee Scientist in Residence
at the St. Louis Zoo.

Dr. Parker is best known for her research on the polyandrous mating
system of the Galapagos Hawk and has recently begun looking at emerging
avian diseases on the Galapagos Islands.  Her presentation, "Bird Health
in the Galapagos Islands:  The Threats from Disease," will highlight the
last two years of research into this growing threat to the island
archipelago.

Meet at Powder Valley Nature Center at 7:30 pm.  From the intersection of
Interstates 44 and 270, take 44 east to Watson Rd.  Take Geyer off of
Watson Rd, go left (north) on Geyer for 200 yds. to Cragwold Rd.  Go left
(west) on Cragwold for 1 mile to nature center entrance on right.  Enter
building through left entrance.
