This weekend, on Sunday, Jan. 19, the Webster Groves Nature Study Society will have a birding trip to Carlyle Lake. Bill Rowe, who is great on gull identification, will lead the walk. Meet at 8:00 a.m. at the McDonald's restaurant in Carlyle, IL. Take Illinois Hwy. 50 all the way to Carlyle, then at the T intersection, turn left. You can see the McDonald's from the intersection. Bring lunch.
