I've struck out twice now. I went by Lakewood Park Cemetery about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and found a Cooper's Hawk in a tree along the portion of the road that is divided. I went about 12:20 today and again failed to find the Merlin. Now I find out there are two Merlins in the cemetery and my failure rate has doubled. Maybe the birds were across the street checking out Resurrection Cemetery?

Two of us (Tina Weyman and Margy Terpstra) went to Lakewood Park Cemetary.  We struck out this time, not seeing any Merlin, Shrike or Coopers.  Did see two N. Mockingbirds doing a dance, one Red Tailed Hawk flying high overhead, and some ETS and assorted other usual suspects.  How many truisms fit this scenario?  (There are no gimmies, for one.)  Jack Cowan, did you have any luck?

Til next time,
