150 (stopped counting at that) TURKEY VULTURES
8 (+?) BLACK VULTURES

Location: Rocky Ridge, off of Hwy "0" in St. Genevieve county.
Take I-55 South to exit 154, go right (SW) on Hwy O, ~3-4
miles to Rocky Ridge Ranch (DeLorme has best map - p49)
gated community, park in gravel parking lot just left of the gate
that goes into the community where you will have a view of the
vultures coming in from the River to roost near this "town".

Observers: Joe Eades (found the roost initially last weekend),
Jim and Charlene Malone. The vultures start coming to roost
about 3 PM but the glut of birds start showing up after 3:30 PM.
How many came after 4:00-4:15 PM is unknown (had to go).

Good winter birding,
Charlene Malone
Chesterfield, MO/St. L co.
