Subject: fox sparrow / Joplin CBC 12-28

Seasons' Greetings!

Great weather for birding, and especially staying at home and watching the feeder birds.

We have our first  Fox Sparrow for our city yard, under a feeder, here in Joplin, Jasper County.

Does anyone have Pine Siskins yet?  Berlin Heck, in se OKla. has some and there are also
reports for western Kansas.    None reported here in sw Missouri yet that I am aware of.

Also this doesn't seem to be a Red-breasted Nuthatch year so far.

Joplin's CBC is this Saturday, 12-28-02.  Meet at Hardees, 8th & Rangeline,
at 7:30 AM.  Easy does it though.  Don't take any chances.  Life's too short....

Good birding,  Larry H.  Joplin MO.
