Got to Bradford Farms with the help of SUPERB directions from Edge. (She
uses compass directions... As it Should Be!) We arrived at ~10 a.m.

Turned into the Horse Farm and made the first left hand corner. In the
open field on the left side of the road past the corral, 150+
GREAT-TAILED GRACKLES. At the very next corner, which turns South, 10-15
WESTERN MEADOWLARKS were on the fences, large hay bales and power lines.

Headed down to Eagle Bluffs and saw several vehicles in and out. Did
view the juvenile LONG-TAILED DUCK right where several have already
indicated. Near the pump house, in the distribution channel. Also viewed
a marvelous PEREGRINE FALCON swooping the harvested bean field just
inside the Eagle Bluffs entrance area. Landed in a far off tree, but
with scope, afforded a long and patient view.

At Thomas Hill, observed 1 COMMON LOON from Gaslight Rd. off of Golden
Rd. It was associating with over 300 HOODED MERGANSERS. Numerous other
duck species present, but nothing out of the ordinary.

All the family enjoyed the outing... Birding is tough on the 5 year old
and the 2 year old...

Their favorite was the Devil's Icebox Trail at Rock Bridge State Park.
The caves and the bridge fascinated all of us!

Good Birding...

Now, CHARLENE... IF THE SLAS WALK IS STILL ON AT BUSCH, I'LL BE THERE
FOR THE YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER.
