I agree with you Chris. I thought this was a list serve about birds and birding no matter where in the world. A list strictly for only MO birds, seems very provincial and narrow-minded. I especially like getting the info on changes in species common and Latin names. I would think that this information would be something that a University is interested in disseminating.
