The 2 Trumpeter Swans, first seen Sat., were still on
the refure today.
There is close to 50 Bald Eagles now.  The waterfowl
count this week,
done  on the 19th, includes the following:

Snow Geese - 100,000
Greater White- fronts -3000
Canada  - 600
Ducks -46,000+ of which Mallards made up 36,000 of
them
American Black Duck -6

The Swan Lake Christmas Bird Count will still be on
the 28th, BUT we
will meet at the hunting headquarters instead of the
visitor center.
This is located on the gravel road on the north side
of the refuge. Time
to meet is 7:00 a.m.
