Some late migrants still around:

Busch CA, St. Charles co:
*GREEN HERON  - seen by some in the group (not Jim Malone)
Besides that, the typical birds expected (no Purple Finches and Pine Siskins
though)
Got Patrick his Yellow-bellied sapsucker....yah!

Riverlands EDA, St. Charles co (observed by CM & JM)
* one TREE SWALLOW
* one BARN SWALLOW
5 AW pelicans remain

Other birds still at REDA:
13 SURF SCOTERS - (Observed by JM & CM) out in the River channel near the
end of the upstream wall of the locks.
26 swans with two TUNDRA SWANS (adults) seen at Heron Pond. (one birder
observed over 30 swans at one time in Heron Pond)
Slight increase in Canvasbacks, Goldeneye, R-B merg and scaup numbers in
Ellis Bay.
Nice gull roost forms after 3 PM in Ellis Bay by the Dam. Nothing unusual
seen though.

Best viewing time for bird activity and numbers is after 2- 3 PM or early,
early AM.

Noticed Corp personnel patrolling the area AFTER HOURS at
Sunset..........hopefully for poachers.
(We've already turned in people hunting on Corp property for geese along
Orton road) keep your eyes open.
