Bill Reeves and Bob Lewis ELECTED to try and beat the Dilks/Lewis November Big Day on Tuesday. Heck, they only got 85 species at Otter Slough and environs. The hot spot on Stoddard County Hwy AE was completely devoid of birds by Tuesday. Birds seen by this duo and not seen by Dilks/Lewis were Ross' Goose, Turkey Vulture (came out after a full morning of rain), Least Sandpiper, Dunlin, Vesper Sparrow, Wild Turkey, Sharp-shinned Hawk. Western Grebe seen by Doug Willis (60 yards away) at Lake Wappapello on Monday was not around on election day. It was great fun but now to join Charlene and others at Riverlands.
