Between meetings over lunch hour, drove through Binder Lake in Jefferson
City. The following were observed:
Common Loon (2) - first observed near dam, then trolling toward middle of
lake
Horned Grebes (4) - mostly in the lengthwise middle of the lake
Pied-billed Grebes - many
DC Cormorants
a raft of Lesser Scaup, Ring-necked Duck, Ruddies, Hooded Mergansers,
Mallards, Coots, and Canada Geese

In the cattail/marsh area near the ballfields were 12 Greater Yellowlegs. I
was surprised to see them.
