There was an adult Pacific Loon at the Crow's Creek area of Smithville Lake
(Clay Co.) this afternoon around 3 pm. Specifically, it was located in the
south cove of the picnic arm of Crow's Creek, viewed best from Shelter 4.

Also at Crow's Creek were 4 Common Loons; near the dam there were about 20.

Other semi-interesting birds out and about:

Horned Grebe
Snow Goose - 40 (flyover)
Osprey - 5
Loggerhead Shrike - 1
Tree Swallow - 25

Those two albino Wild Turkeys are still at Crow's Creek; keep your eyes open
for them when you look for the loons--they're kind of neat...and hard to miss.
