 for sure there have defintely been some pretty convincing catamount
sightings in MO but the origin of the cats is without a doubt not from a
viable breeding population.Mt lions are a favorite of exotic pet owners and
many  of these so called missouri lions are escapees.Easy enough for one to
survive  with our abundant deer pop.

  Then again MAYBE some of these escapees have actually breed succesfully and
are restablishing themselves in MO.hmmmmm(doubt it though)
