This morning from  7 a.m. - 10 a.m. at Missouri Western State College, Jack Hilsabeck and I had the following:
 
Note: * indicates number of birds netted and banded.
 
  Brown Creeper - several
 *House Wren - 2
  Winter Wren - 1
 *Gray Catbird - 1
**Orange-crowned Warbler - 6 or 7
 *Nashville Warbler - 1
**American Goldfinch - 2
 *Chipping Sparrow - 1
  Lincoln's Sparrow - 1
 
Later, I birded the area oxbows south of St. Joseph.  Some of the birds were:
 
Least (10) and Pectoral (2) Sandpipers, 180 Killdeer
Savannah (20), Vesper (1) and Swamp (2) Sparrows.
 
The American Avocets (seen yesterday) were gone.
