Hello all,
Last night, about 6 pm, we had a brownish-clay colored Rock Dove land on the bubbler. I looked in Sibley's and he says a Brown Adult is "scarce". I've never seen one in my yard before - he is #120 on the yard list now and #69 at the bubbler. But, I also have never seen one this color. He was a mottled earthy clay, and the tail was pale, slaty colored with a darker band. I took some pictures, but I'm not sure if they'll be able to show much (the pro photographer in the family was painting the trim on the back door, and wanted to finish.) Any input, Bob Fisher, et al?
Thank you!
