Today, Friday Oct 11, I saw in Kearney:

1 immature yellow-bellied sapsucker, still present
4 at one time Nashville warblers--probably more
1 orange-crowned warbler
2 ruby-crowned kinglets, at least
1 BROWN CREEPER--first that I've seen this season
1 dark-eyed junco
1 Lincoln sparrow
1 blue-headed vireo
several yellow-rumped warblers

And then there was that constantly singing Northern mockingbird that
imitated every species it had ever hear. However, a blue bird did show up as
well as a white-breasted nuthatch and some chickadees and tufted titmice. It
was almost as if they came to check out the mockingbird calls.
