Hi Margy,

I've had a brownish Rock Dove among the flock that hangs out in my yard
(haven't seen it in a while).  I just now checked the picture in Sibley
after reading your post.  The pigeon in my yard was much paler than the
picture in Sibley - not at all reddish.
