Went to Walter Woods this morning, 9-14, to watch the annual hummingbird show in the
Orange Jewelweed, also known as Touch-me-nots, Impatiens.  12 to 15 hummingbirds,
all looked liked Ruby-throated, were quite a sight.    Hoping for one of sw Kansas'
visitors.....
Walter Woods is south of Joplin, Newton County.

Also had a Northern Waterthrush; plus a Kentucky Warbler came right up to my feet.

Good birding,  Larry H.  Joplin MO.
