There was a huge die-off of Carp last night, over a thousand, at Sunshine Lake. I spoke with a gentleman who was out there yesterday afternoon and he only saw about 5. The smell is not bad yet but will be horrific in a few days. There were many shorebirds all around the lake, but mainly on the North side. I did manage to see the following: Least Pectoral Baird's Semipalmated Spotted Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs Semipalmated Plover - 1 American Golden Plover - 1 male in breeding plumage. Awesome! Black Tern - 2 Least Tern - 1 Good Birding, Kyle Driggers Liberty, Mo. __________________________________ * Audubon Society of Missouri's * * Wild Bird Discussion Forum * * To unsubscribe send the message * * SIGNOFF MOBIRDS-L * * to [log in to unmask] * * To subscribe send the message * * SUBSCRIBE MOBIRDS-L your name* * to [log in to unmask] * ###################################
