When you were in Istanbul, were there many different troupes of dervishes? Or 
is there only the troupe that comes to NY? I've been told that the dance is 
actually religious (and cosmological), but as Turkey is officially an 
atheistic state, the performances are classified as something like "tourist 
entertainment."
