It is possible of course that (as is often the case) the reporter was unfair to Michio Kaku. As presented, Kaku's argument echos commonplaces from 18th-c deism, but the original essay may not have been so silly.

Eliot of course would have regarded this "argument" with contempt, as fundamentally non-Christian. It won't stir man atheist feathers either. Quite a bore.
