In fact we risked a visit on way home to the labyrinthine, unmapped, shopping malls of Ellesmere Port.
We missed Blackpool - going there would have been far too much excitement for one weekend , even this very special one. A reflective solemn pilgrimage to Morecambe to contemplate the place's great antiquities, such as the Midland Hotel; the ruins of Frontierlsnd and the decaying tin sheeted hulk of Heysham Nuclear Power Station was seriously considered, but sadly we didn't have time on this occasion to make the necessary slight detour.
