Have to admit to a daring visit on the way home to the mysterious labyrinthine shopping malls of Ellesmere Port.
Blackpool would have been far far too much excitement for a single weekend here, the only possible antidote to which would have needed an immediate detour to Morecambe in order to contemplate the venerable antiquities of that place such as the ruins of Frontierland and the decaying tin sheeted hulk of Heysham Nuclear Power Station.
