CALL FOR PAPERS: "Mediating Early Modernity."
The MLA-Allied Organization, SGRABL (Society German Renaissance and Baroque Literature) invites submissions for a panel at the 2016 MLA in Austin on the topic: "Mediating Early Modernity."
Topics may include all aspects of mediality (text, image, sound) in early modern Germanic literatures and cultures, analyses of the politics and poetics of early modern media culture(s), and the application of media analysis and new forms of digital manipulation to the field. Interdisciplinary approaches (art and music history, archive and library studies, critical media studies, book and media history, sound studies) welcome. Please submit 150-word abstract and 150-word CV to Jane O. Newman ([log in to unmask]) by 15 March, 2015. Inquiries welcome!
