It's hard to believe that cr really exists. No living man wrote such stuff.
I've read a rather large amount of both 'professional' and 'amateur' (e.g.
students) criticism over the last 63 years and I NEVER encountered the least
suggestion in even the most arrogant and juvenile of such criticism that it
was "presumptuous" to write a negative comment on _any_ writer (including
Homer, Dante, & Shakespeare). "Even Homer nods" is echoed over and over
again.
I'm serious: I doubt that cr could actually exist.
