Call for Papers
For a panel proposed for the German Studies Association Conference
Louisville, Kentucky; September 22-25, 2011
Panel Title: “Christoph Ransmayr: New Interpretations”
The panel aims to begin/continue a discussion about Ransmayr’s work, in
part due to the fact that his name is mentioned with some regularity as a
Nobel Prize contender. Papers are welcome on all aspects of Ransmayr’s
production; topics might include but are not limited to: nature, illness,
temporality/history, form, and/or Ransmayr’s texts in dialogue with recent
films (such as Nanga Parbat) or other contemporary “Austrian” literature.
Please send an abstract to Laurie Johnson at [log in to unmask] by January 31, 2011.
