I have no idea whether it includes Every or not, but as I wrote earlier, Ron Schuchard told the Eliot Society meeting of a great mass of material that will eventually appear. He may know.

Subject: Valerie Eliot and TSE's letters
Old chestnut, I know, but I've just been reminded quite forcibly as a result
of reading from [Manchester England] university archives some letters from
Valerie to English poet Norman Nicholson dated approx. January 1978 - around
30 years ago !! confidently stating there would be three volumes, the first
of which [up to 1926 only] was 'overdue at the printers' and the second of
which was 'well advanced'
Does anyone know what's gone wrong after all these very many years ??
- as I tried to point out in a previous discussion, Valerie herself surely
can't rely much longer on being able to so jealously guard and control all of
Andt his may be relevant:-
It will be interesting to see what happens to The Letters after Valerie
Eliot's day: it's to be hoped not the shredder or data destruction
The provincial English poet whose life I've been researching and who had
this correspondence with TSE and subsequently with Valerie had very prolific
correspondence indeed but sadly seemed to have destroyed much of it in his own
lifetime and left only the sanitized, innocuous stuff - it's a bother and a
generator of much speculation why he felt the need to: a big chunk of the
'massacred' correspondence was with George Every, for many years an Anglican monk,
theologian, and history and literature scholar at the Society of the Sacred
Mission HQ near Nottingham, and quite a buddy of and avid correspondent with
TSE himself, who was wont to visit Every's monastery regularly for 'spiritual
retreats', so possibly Valerie is sitting on unique material from my point
of view [Every too deliberately destroyed the massive correspondence he'd had
with 'my' poet and possibly with TSE too, but it seems that TSE usually kept
carbons]. I know I've enquired on this List previously, but if anyone has any
information about any of these relationships, however tenuous or speculative,
I'd be most interested in hearing it.
