You appear to be running Netscape Communicator version 4.8 on Windows
NT. I use Netscape version 4.7 but a version that runs on Linux.
>From my "Edit" pulldown I've gone to "Preferences" and a pop-up window
appeared. From there I've selected the "Appearance" category,
sub-category "Fonts". There, for the encoding "Western iso-8851-1)",
I've picked a variable width font and a font size of 14.0 (it was
12.0) I also increased the size of the font for fixed width text
(plaintext). I also selected "Use my default fonts, overriding
document supplied fonts". I hit the "OK" stopped and restarted the
mailreader. The mailreader showed me Diana's HTML message in a larger
font (the HTML in at least this message did not specify a font size)
although a message from Kate which specified a font size of 10.0 still
showed up too small.
You may have already done something like this but the differences in
the versions and operating systems of our programs might mean that
your mailreader won't act like mine.
P.S. I really dislike HTML formatted mail. It rarely adds any value.
Often, when I do a reply to a HTML message, my program crashes.
