Again, that would depend. If "Diana" has been used once already, so that
the reference is clear, I would see no objection to following it up with
"she." But on the whole, in any case, there are enough problems with
tone and other sources of misunderstanding on e-lists that as a general
practice I would suggest ignoring real or perceived failures of tone for
the most part. Focus on raw content without questioning motive or tone.
