Re Saddam. The descriptions of him are accurate, but incomplete. Needed
'filler':
1. Saddam was put in power and maintained in power by the U.S.
2. His _greatest crime_ was the long war against Iran, and the use of
chemical weapons in that war. But those chemical weapons were supplied
by the U.S. _and_ the U.S. continually urged him on in that war.
2a. Saddam, then, was merely the pawn. The U.S. was the major criminal
in all his criminal acts.
Incidentally, most or all but one or two of the u.s. civilians killed in
Iraq should be included in the list of _military_ casualties: they are
mercenaries working for corporations which hire out their military
services. These corporations got their main start (with the approval of
the u.s.) hiring out their services in civil wars in Africa.
And re John Kerry. I'm casting a blank ballot in November (voting at all
merely to keep my registration active). Bush is a war criminal, though
so far his victims number rather less than the victims of the preceding
war criminal, William Clinton. Kerry is a candidate for chief war
criminal of the first decade of the 21st century. He merely promises to
carry out the Occupation (namely, the continuing mass murder) more
efficiently than Bush. Where's the choice?
