for Gunnar's first post. But I can provide one bit of linguistic
information. One of the most notorious of the photogrraphs, the one
showing a blindfolded man standing on a box with electric wires attached
to his genitals, depicts a torture that has a name -- it is a CIA
invention, and is called "The Vietnam." It was not invented by untrained
guards, for it is a very sophisticated form of torture, used by
professional torturers.
