Hello listers.

My ISP has had serious problems and I've been internet deprived for a
week.

The 'La Figlia che Piange' topic demands some attention and I'll read
up on it soon, but first I have some unfinished business; the average
age of list members.  This was originally Gunnar's post but I have the
data from my website hits up to the time of the ISP breakdown and I'm
going to share that now.

The magic figure is, by my reckoning, 39.2.

Here is the age data for the people that gave their age on-list
(and, so far as I know, did not ALSO use my website to register their age):

    14 people with an average age of 37.5 (total age of 525)

The distribution was:

    21 21 23 24 25 25 25 32 45 47 53 53 58 73

Anyway, those are the ones I saw between Saturday, the 13th and
Monday, the 22nd.

The data for those registering their age with my website had to be
fudged a little to remove duplicate entries from those who don't cache
their visited webpages and used the "back" button.

The dates of the hits were between Sunday, the 14th and Friday, the 19th.

What was registered:

    27 hits with an average age of 40.1 (total age was 1082)

The distribution was:

    21 21 21 21 23 25 26 26 29 29 32 39 39 40 40 46 47 48 50 51 52 55 58 59 59

Combining the two, hoping there aren't any duplicates, gives us:

    41 people with an average age of 39.2 (total age of 1082 + 525 = 1607)

The distribution is:
