Can't say I mind being kept on my toes.
I just wish it were about something really worth discussing,
like why the list has such a fixation on the early
poetry of Eliot.

I would agree. My agreement is conditioned by several years experience
on another list with one or two practioners of what I came to call
"One-Line Zingers," which almost always serve merely to cast grit in the
