The naming of cats is a difficult matter
It isn't just one of your everyday games.
You may think that I am as mad as a hatter
When I tell you a cat must have three different names.
[from memory--my book's not right here]
Get a copy of OLD POSSUM'S BOOK OF PRACTICAL CATS.
It's in paperback, and the one with Edward Gorey illustrations is wonderful.
The broadway show, CATS, is just all the poems put to music, except for
the song, "Memory," which is excerpted mainly from "Preludes" and
"Rhapsody on a Windy Night."
P.S. I always think one should get two kittens, because the love each
other and play together and then they are not alone when you go about.
Single cats really need to be outdoors in fields and things or they brood.

Honored professors and TSE fans,
Now that the semester is coming to a close, I am on a mission to adopt a
female kitten. Need help with the name and was told by my professor that
TSE wrote something about Naming Cats. Have not read it. Any thoughts
suggestions on this? rita
PS - Just need to paraphrase _Journey of the Magi_ and then I am free for
the summer (excluding working full-time of course).
