He said, through the government, that "your disability has ceased" (and I
was not alone) and I had to pay $6000 back to the government. I was lucky /
blessed that I actually could, but many other handicapped Americans
couldn't. The money I paid was doled out to able-bodies as a "tax cut"
(they didn't work extra for that extra money, it was just given to them). I
will never support tax cuts. This is a biblical position also; when Jesus
was asked about taxes, he said "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's."
Notice the word "is", Jesus is saying the taxes are not our money but the
government's money, the exact opposite of what "W" said in a speech to
Congress. If the situation warrants going to war, fine, I'm not in a
position to argue and support our country. But if it is so bad that my
friends should risk their lives, I want to support them by paying a hirer
income tax rate. But able bodied conservatives will never go along with
that, they love their money more than their country.
