Since the country we call "America" was created by the ethnic cleansing of
native Americans, it is difficult to understand why it would be so foreign to
us. Of course slavery was not quite the same as cleansing since we kept
them here to work and only killed them when it was more convenient.

If I lived in the Gaza Strip at this moment, I would very much like that
Republican Congressman to remove me for a time.
The very thought of ethnic cleansing is so foreign, and absurd, to us
Americans because our country is made of ethnic people, of people from
many difference ethnic background, Irish, Italian, English, Scottish,
Russians (orthodox, jewish and others), Spanish, etc. And now, after all
of these many generations, most people are a mix.
