I wasn't citing him for his nazism, his writings, his homosexuality, or his
freindship with derrida. I was citing him for the reason I gave--that he had
an aversion to having women in his home, but "was willing to make
exceptions."
I take note of your complaint that you don't regard this kind of rhetoric as
typical. Possibly you've never heard it, or weren't aware of it. I've had to
live with it most of my life, so to me it seems typical. Years ago, it was
also rather stressful, so be glad you've been spared.
