I was flipping through a book not long ago that had a chapter per poet
(I've forgotten the title but I think it was "Young Poets.") Eliot was
mentioned in passing in one of the chapters. He was invited to a
dinner while at Princeton along with a couple of the younger poets
that the book was really about. They were amazed that TSE had 5
martinis and didn't seem to show any effects.
