I did not say they were related . I simply said I read
fragmentation in both, though of a different kind. I’m
not trying to relate the 2 to each other but am
interested in seeing how it works in both. In Prufrock
it is just the thoughts. He speaks of all the things
he’s known already ( tiresias??) – the eyes, arms,
etc. He does not think of the woman (or women) as
whole but in parts.
