Apparently PBS is going to show the Met's Tristan tomorrow night. Can
hardly wait. Didn't you say something about the lighting, maybe when they
drink from the cup? What was that, Pat? I can't remember.

Subject: Arthuriana: The Journal of Arthurian Studies
The Spring 2001 issue of Arthuriana is out, and I'm sorry to say it
be print only, with only abstracts of articles available on their
site. But it looks really beautiful, and not just because it has my
on Eliot's borrowings from Wagner operas in TWL.
Though it's an odd coincidence, most of the articles deal with
Parsifal, two of the three operas that TSE references in TWL. And
look like interesting articles. Also, the editor, Professor Hall
III, wrote what looks like a thorough introduction to Wagner's uses
material from Arthiurian Romances.
